Thoughts on “Greenteeth” by Molly O’Neill

I don’t read a lot of cozy fantasy because, while I like the idea of it, I’m usually not in the mood to pick up a book that falls into that category. That will be changing.

Greenteeth caught my eye initially because of its cover — goodness, what a beautiful cover. Up until I started reading it, I couldn’t tell you much about it besides the fact that it was pretty. As I started diving in, though, I fell in love with the charming characters, the beautiful setting, and the friendships that bloomed.

It only took me about a day to get through this book, and part of me wishes that there was more — not because the story wasn’t perfectly paced (because it was) but because I didn’t want to leave the world and the writing. It’s such a simple story, but it allows the relationships and the personalities to shine through in the best way.

This is Molly O’Neill’s debut novel, and I’m so excited to read more by her. I’m also crossing my fingers for a special edition of this book, ideally with sprayed edges. I am ready and willing to pour money into that.

Thank you for exploring with us! Until next time, may the pages and paths ahead of you be great.
